8-hour online course covering requirements set by STCW A-V/2.4

The aim of the course is to increase the awareness of persons responsible for the safety of passengers in an emergency situation.

STCW requires that you show your competence in crisis management and human behavior in practice. There are two components: preparing a plan for an emergency drill onboard a passenger ship and proof of participating in an emergency / evacuation drill onboard where you show your skills in crisis management.

A course certificate will be issued when the online course and the practical onboard exercise have been completed.

Upon completing this training,
the participant will

  • Be able to lead and manage emergency situations better
  • Training aims at the action in a crisis situation and managing people
  • Big crowds require crisis management, which means awareness about how to manage a large number of people in a crisis situation
  • Identify the signs of stress and its effects on human behaviour and performance
  • Understand human behaviour in case of an emergency
  • Understand the importance of preplanning and training of the crew
