Tanker Training Overview
Aboa Mare offers on-site and web-based basic level and on-site advanced level tanker training in English. The courses cover the requirements set by STCW and IMO Model Courses.
Basic Training for Oil and Chemical Tanker
This 2-day basic course covers oil and chemical tanker cargo operations. Day 1 consists of theoretical training conducted on-site at Aboa Mare in Turku. Day 2 focuses on practical firefighting training at Meriturva Maritime Safety Training Centre in Upinniemi, Finland.
Advanced Training for Chemical Tanker
3-day advanced course for chemical tanker cargo operations. Three days of theoretical training takes place at Aboa Mare in Turku, Finland. The course is intended for deck officers and engineers in charge of loading, discharging and handling of cargo on board chemical tankers. This course covers the requirements set by STCW and IMO Model Course 1.03.
Advanced Training for Oil Tanker
3-day Advanced Training for Oil Tanker Cargo Operations. The three-day theoretical training takes place at Aboa Mare in Turku, Finland or online. The course is intended for officers and ratings assigned specific duties and responsibilities related to cargo or cargo equipment on oil tankers.
