Crisis Management and Human Behaviour Training

STCW A-V/2.4

The Crisis Management and Human Behaviour training (STCW A-V/2.4) is intended for personnel on passenger vessels. The required qualifications depend on the position, duties and emergency duties of the crew member. This training (STCW A-V/2.4) is required for Captain, Chief Officer, Chief Engineer and 1^st Engineer. Other crew members need this training if their emergency duty involves responsibility for passenger safety.

Upon successful completion of the course  the trainees should have sufficient practical and theoretical knowledge to to control a crowd in an emergency situation aboard, organize ship’s emergency procedures and training of crew, communicate effectively with passengers during an emergency, demonstrate the use of personal life-saving appliances and comply with the ship’s safety and emergency procedures. The course is based on IMO model course 1.29.
